Description
The Civilist x Nike SB Dunk Low initially appeared in its activated form; the upper is heat-activated. Presumed to be a relatively understated collaboration initially, the pair quickly subverted assumption with an all-over thermochromic finish. Fresh out of the box, the pair seems quite neutral with a full black upper and matching accents, but once exposed to heat, a vibrant heat map reminiscent pattern begins to appear. Dark reds, lighter greens, and blues display the entire temperature spectrum, each placed as if gradating from the heel to the toe box. Neutral-toned toolings, linings, and tongues arrive bereft of the focal treatment, though the latter does deliver color by way of a variety of laces as well as yellow-checked tongue patch.
