In what could possibly be the biggest sneaker news of the year so far, official images of the eagerly-awaited Travis Scott x fragment x Air Jordan 1 High “Military Blue” have finally arrived. The epic three-way collaboration has been teased for what feels like an eternity now, but the good news is that a retail release is finally in sight. We reckon pretty much every sneakerhead in existence will be going for these, so they’re certainly not going to be an easy cop!
Either way, it’s impossible not to admire this release from afar, as it’s one of the strongest and most hyped collaborations we’ve seen in a long time. Travis’ signature backwards Swoosh sits nearly on the legendary AJ1 silhouette that’s remained popular since 1985. Hiroshi Fujiwara’s fragment label adds low-key details to complete the look, making these the absolute poppers they are!
The uppers of the sneakers are plush tumbled leather that’s soft to touch yet also durable, while the colourway showcases hits of blue and a black and white base layer. As mentioned earlier, the reversed Swoosh logo takes pride of place alongside Jordan’s wings logo at the collars, Nike Air at the tongues and both a Cactus Jack logo and a fragment lightning bolt motif on each heel respectively. Additional features include ankle flaps and a perforated toe box.
This all sits on top of a pre-yellowed midsole, giving off the vintage vibes that are currently a huge trend in the sneaker community. Concealed within the sole is a full-length Nike Air cushioning unit, ensuring that these don’t just look great but they’re also comfortable everyday beaters. The pair come complete in a limited-edition branded AJ1 box that’s decked out in a matching hue.
If you’re looking to cop the Travis Scott x fragment x Air Jordan 1 High Military Blue (who isn’t, really?) then the good news is that the pair is rumoured to be dropping on 29th July, so keep it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier for all the latest updates regarding the launch. In the meantime, make sure to check out the recently-unveiled Nike Dunk Low Purple Pulse!
