Nike Air Max 2021 Review
The new sneaker is designed in the constant pursuit of progress, pushing the limits of performance and designing with an inclusive mind, and innovating with sustainability in mind. The Nike Air Max 2021 incorporates reductive design principles, removing elements to highlight the silhouette’s most vital component – a new Nike Air unit. The new amorphous Nike Air unit is nestled within a new collapsible TPU heel clip that allows the wearer to experience more of the benefits of Air technology – cushioning and energy return.

The Nike Air Max 2021 has a lower PSI in the center of the air unit creates a softer underfoot feel, while the outer ring of the air unit features a higher PSI to provide a stable ride. The Nike Air Max 2021 is made with at least 20% recycled content by weight: Vamp – 36% recycled polyester, Overlay and eyestay – synthetic letter with 28% recycled polyester, Strobel – 80% recycled polyester, Nike Air unit – 74% recycled TPU, Outsole – 13% recycled Nike Grind.

6 reasons to buy

Spongy: Nike Air Max 2021’s forefoot foam appeals to users as it feels more squishy than the air unit that extends far beyond the heel.
Soft: Those who find this comfy liked the removable insole so much as it feels a lot “softer than OrthoLite sockliners.”
Easy upkeep: Wearers are fascinated that its engineered mesh wrapping is “easy-to-clean.”
Lightweight: Even with screaming dual Air bladders, Air Max diehards say it doesn’t weigh their feet down.
Breathable: Running sneaker hunters appreciate the amount of airflow this kick offers.
Smashing: Its Air bubbles peeking through honeycomb-like windows is as eye-grabbing as that on the Air Max 270 sneakers.

3 reasons not to buy

Narrow: Buyers with extra wide feet find this one of the constricting shoes among the Air Maxes.
Tapered: City adventurers describe the forefoot as “compacted.” They hoped it was roomier.
Lacks flexibility: Unlike Flyknit sneakers, its mesh and the ripstop cover aren’t stretchy enough.

Bottom line

If you’re sold by stylish chunky shoes and the extra height they offer, you might just love the Nike Air Max 2021 too. This sneaker is a futuristic kick with the proprietary Nike Air that weighs less than other multilayered retro Air Maxes. The chambered heel bubbles are impact-absorbing but if you want more responsiveness, try the Vapormaxes. A caveat though, this isn’t cheap.

The Nike Air Max 2021 is part of the Move To Zero project. This means that at least 20% of all materials used are recycled. The recycled materials are discarded consumer products and leftover production materials.
